The framework with Squared has had an excellent start. From day one, AJS has taken a partnership approach, opening a site office within one of Squared’s premises and establishing day-to-day communications. The collaborative approach enables shared resources and information for the most efficient and effective delivery. An AJS Project Manager works from the shared office with support from a dedicated Administrator and Contracts Manager based at AJS headquarters.
Squared initially instructed AJS to deliver new kitchens and bathrooms. With these successfully underway, however, Squared has subsequently contracted AJS to handle window and door replacements too. Not only that, but the team has also gradually taken on fire alarm installations and upgrades; extractor fan servicing; fire door surveys and remedial works; boiler and central heating upgrades; and ad hoc void works. The team also handles reactive repairs when needed.
Starting on site in January 2026, AJS has initially been replacing kitchens and bathrooms with more to come this year. In addition, the team is also now managing a comprehensive range of other property improvements including windows, doors, boilers, heating and fire door inspections, which are being delivered to programme.
