AJS has been named preferred bidder for a Hard Facilities Management contract by the London Borough of Lewisham. The substantial contract includes comprehensive provision of fire and security repair, maintenance, and minor works services across the borough’s corporate property estate.
Due to start work this autumn, our team will be responsible for safeguarding approximately 70 operational sites across Lewisham and Southwark. The diverse property portfolio comprises key public and administrative assets such as council offices, local libraries, community use buildings, and children’s centres.
The planned and reactive fire and security services will see our team work to maintain statutory compliance and British Standards for the London Borough of Lewisham. Key technical responsibilities will include planned preventative maintenance, routine statutory testing, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs with a strict emphasis on a “first-time fix” methodology.
The reactive element of the contract will also involve 24/7 emergency response services, including continuous intruder and fire alarm monitoring. We will also provide ongoing professional technical advice to the borough to optimise its security networks.
