AJS Response to the COVID 19 Pandemic

AJS acted early on Coronavirus to protect our employees and our clients’ customers/residents. We provided our engineers with full PPE kit, fitted our vans with washing & hygiene facilities, and delivered comprehensive training on using our PPE and on our Covid 19 Risk Assessment procedures.

Since the lockdown, we have continued to support our clients by providing essential services to maintain the safety of their buildings and residents. Non-essential services were put on hold so we could prioritise safety critical works. Our early preparation ensured we were well placed to do this safely and effectively.

We also used this time to make changes in our offices to accommodate our people safely as we implement a phased return to work. This has included creating space so our teams can social distance. We also have robust cleaning and hygiene systems in place to prevent infection.

During this period, we have been closely monitoring Government and industry guidance including safety notices from the Construction Leadership Council and the Trades Associations.

Because of the steps taken by our Clients and ourselves, we can now undertake upgrade and planned works in line with our new systems of work and Government guidelines. These systems include our Coronavirus Risk Assessments which detail the processes we follow before entering a property, whilst in the property, and when leaving.

This prioritises safety at every stage and offers residents and building users both guidance and reassurance.

We want you to be aware that the top priority for AJS remains the health and wellbeing of our team, our clients’ staff and residents, and the communities we work in. We will of course continue to review all site practices especially with any changes made to government and medical guidance.

Thank you

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients and residents for your patience, understanding and support over these challenging times.
