CHP has awarded AJS a Fire Safety Equipment Servicing and Maintenance contract.
The contract will see AJS work with CHP for 5 years, with a possible 2-year extension, and includes works covering testing, inspection, servicing and maintenance of fire equipment across CHP’s housing stock. This includes annual surveying of fire equipment; monthly servicing of automatic opening vents, fire alarms, dry riser systems, smoke and heat detectors; and bi-annual servicing of door guards, emergency lighting systems, fire extinguishers, smoke and heat detector systems.
David Hutchings, Procurement and Contract Business Partner for CHP, commented on the appointment of AJS:
“We are really pleased to have AJS on board. They have an impressive track record of delivering fire safety contracts and, through their tender, proved that their experienced team will be a safe pair of hands for our residents. It’s an added bonus that AJS is a local SME with a head office in Chelmsford, since we are keen to recruit locally wherever possible.”
The contract will start from February 2026 with preparation and mobilisation works already underway.
